PRESS RELEASE – Anyon Systems Inc ., a Canadian developer and manufacturer of full-stack superconducting quantum computing systems, and KMT Technologies Ltd., a Matrix Group company, today announced a strategic partnership to accelerate the international deployment of quantum computing infrastructure.
Under the agreement, KMT will serve as an exclusive representative and distributor for Anyon across a number of strategic international markets. KMT has also been appointed as an authorised installation, commissioning, integration, service and support partner for Anyon quantum computing systems.
The partnership combines Anyon ‘s vertically integrated quantum computing technology with Matrix Group’s capabilities in high-performance computing (HPC), AI infrastructure, data centres, networking, cybersecurity and systems integration.
Together, the companies intend to address growing demand from governments, research institutions, HPC centres and enterprises seeking to deploy quantum computing as part of their broader computing infrastructure.
Integrating Quantum Computing With HPC and AI
Anyon develops key elements of its superconducting quantum computing stack in-house, including quantum processors, cryogenic systems, control electronics, software and system integration.
The company’s architecture is based on the view that quantum processors will increasingly operate as specialised accelerators within heterogeneous computing environments , alongside CPUs, GPUs and other computing resources.
To support this architecture, Anyon is developing its fourth-generation quantum control electronics , designed to enable direct high-speed connectivity between its quantum computing systems and GPU infrastructure using Remote Direct Memory Access (RDMA) .
The architecture is intended to provide a high-bandwidth, low-latency data path between quantum and classical computing resources, enabling tighter integration of QPUs with GPU-accelerated HPC and AI environments.
Matrix and KMT bring complementary expertise in HPC, GPU infrastructure, high-performance networking, data centres and complex systems integration, providing the infrastructure and deployment capabilities surrounding the quantum system.
Alireza Najafi-Yazdi, Founder and CEO of Anyon Systems , said:
“We believe the future quantum computer will operate as an accelerator within a heterogeneous computing environment, alongside CPUs and GPUs. Building a better quantum processor is only one part of that challenge — the QPU, control electronics, classical compute and high-performance network ultimately have to operate as one integrated system.
“That philosophy is driving our technology roadmap. Our fourth-generation control electronics are being developed to provide direct RDMA-based connectivity to GPU infrastructure, enabling much tighter coupling between quantum and classical computing resources. Matrix’s expertise in HPC, high-performance networking and data-centre integration makes them a natural partner for bringing this architecture into customer environments.”
Anyon’s Next Generation of Quantum Computers
The partnership comes as Anyon enters the next phase of its technology roadmap.
Anyon has already deployed superconducting quantum computing systems in Canada, including MonarQ, quantum computer installed at Calcul Québec and integrated into Canada’s high-performance computing ecosystem.
Building on this platform, Anyon is developing an upcoming 72-qubit superconducting quantum computer , followed by systems designed to scale beyond 100 physical qubits .
The company’s roadmap extends beyond increasing physical qubit count. Anyon is advancing its processor, cryogenic, control and system technologies as part of its longer-term objective of developing scalable, fault-tolerant quantum computing systems.
Yossi Vardi, Chief Business Officer of Anyon Systems , said:
“We are entering an important scaling phase for Anyon . We have demonstrated our ability to build and deploy complete superconducting quantum computers, and our next step is a 72-qubit platform, followed by systems exceeding 100 physical qubits.
“Customers increasingly want quantum computing to become part of their strategic computing infrastructure — deployed on premises, integrated with HPC and AI resources, and supported locally. Matrix gives us the commercial reach, engineering capability and delivery infrastructure required to bring successive generations of Anyon systems to customers internationally.”
Beyond Distribution: Building a Quantum Delivery Capability
The relationship extends beyond conventional technology distribution. KMT will develop technical teams capable of installing, commissioning, integrating and supporting Anyon quantum computing systems. Anyon will train and certify KMT personnel, while continuing to provide advanced engineering and product support.
This structure reflects the signed agreement, which appoints KMT both as Anyon ‘s exclusive representative and distributor in the applicable territory and as an authorised installation, commissioning, integration, service and support arm.
The companies intend to combine Anyon ‘s quantum technology with Matrix’s HPC and data-centre capabilities to provide customers with an integrated path from quantum computing hardware through installation, integration and lifecycle support.
Moshe Azar, CEO of KMT Technologies, said:
“Entering quantum computing is a strategic move for KMT and a natural continuation of what we have been doing for years: building, connecting and maintaining the computing infrastructure of knowledge-intensive organisations.
“What sets Anyon apart, in our view, is its full-stack approach and its focus on integrating quantum computers into existing computing environments. Our ambition extends well beyond conventional distribution. We intend to bring the engineering depth, customer relationships and international reach of the Matrix Group to the deployment and support of Anyon’s quantum computing systems.”
Addressing Demand for Sovereign Quantum Infrastructure
Governments, research institutions and strategic enterprises increasingly view quantum computing as an important component of future computing infrastructure, creating demand for sovereign and on-premises quantum systems that can be integrated with existing HPC and AI environments.
By combining Anyon ‘s vertically integrated quantum computing technology with Matrix’s infrastructure and systems-integration capabilities, the companies aim to reduce the practical barriers to deploying quantum computers and accelerate their transition from specialised research systems into operational computing infrastructure.
