PRESS RELEASE — As the digital asset industry transitions toward post-quantum security, blockchain networks face an emerging infrastructure challenge. Depending on the cryptographic scheme and implementation, post-quantum signatures can be more than 100 times larger than the elliptic-curve signatures widely used today. This can drive substantial increases in storage, bandwidth, and computational requirements. As a result, every blockchain that adopts these new cryptographic standards must absorb those costs independently, creating scalability and efficiency constraints that compound across the broader digital asset ecosystem.
QuFi Network Limited (“QuFi”) today announced the launch of the QuFi Platform, a post-quantum verification platform that enables quantum-resistant validation across digital assets, financial infrastructure, digital ownership, and tokenized forms of economic value without requiring changes to existing settlement networks. Just as traditional financial markets evolved specialized infrastructure to separate trading, clearing, and settlement, the digital asset economy increasingly requires a dedicated layer for post-quantum verification.
The launch introduces a new infrastructure approach that separates verification from settlement, allowing cryptographic validation to occur before value moves.
“Digital finance has spent the last decade building settlement infrastructure. The next decade will require verification infrastructure. We believe verification should exist as a neutral layer that sits above blockchains, assets, and financial systems, delivering cryptographic certainty before value moves. That is the problem the QuFi Platform was created to solve.”

A New Approach to Digital Asset Infrastructure
The QuFi Platform was built on a simple observation: traditional financial markets evolved specialized infrastructure for trading, clearing, settlement, and verification because no single participant wanted to carry every operational function itself. By contrast, first-generation blockchain networks embedded verification, settlement, and trust assumptions directly within individual chains.
While effective during the industry’s early growth phase, that model becomes increasingly costly as digital assets move toward the post-quantum era.
Rather than requiring each blockchain to independently manage increasingly complex verification workloads, the QuFi Platform leverages the QuFi Network, a decentralized layer of independent verification nodes, to perform cryptographic validation upstream and deliver compact, lightweight proofs to participating settlement systems.
Verification is completed before value moves. Downstream systems can independently validate the resulting proof while the underlying settlement network remains efficient, unchanged, and purpose-built for settlement.
“The industry is solving the quantum challenge one blockchain at a time, and that’s the most expensive way to solve it. Financial markets learned long ago that specialized infrastructure scales better than duplicated infrastructure. We believe verification belongs outside the ledger as a discipline of its own, and post-quantum computing makes that transition increasingly necessary.”
— Samson Lee, Co-Founder, QuFi Network Limited
The QuFi Platform incorporates a hybrid post-quantum security architecture combining ML-DSA-65 (FIPS 204) for digital signatures, SLH-DSA (FIPS 205) as an independent hash-based signature system, and ML-KEM-1024 (FIPS 203) for secure key encapsulation.
Together, these standards provide resilience across multiple cryptographic families while supporting rigorous long-term institutional security requirements.
From Settlement Networks to Verification Infrastructue
The world already has settlement networks. What it lacks is post-quantum verification infrastructure.
The QuFi Platform introduces an explicit verification layer between user intent and final settlement:
→ Instruction → Verification → Settlement
Under this model, verification occurs once and the resulting proof can be independently validated by downstream systems regardless of where final settlement occurs.
This transforms verification from a duplicated cost borne by individual networks into shared infrastructure capable of supporting many networks simultaneously.
PROOF IN PRACTICE: uBTC
To demonstrate the architecture in practice, QuFi developed uBTC, a proof-of-concept implementation centered on Bitcoin collateral verification.
uBTC independently verifies Bitcoin collateral and generates cryptographic proof governing how value moves across participating settlement environments.
The approach preserves Bitcoin’s existing architecture while enabling post-quantum verification and broader interoperability for BTC.
The complete lifecycle is already operating on Bitcoin Testnet4.
Minting, burning, and redemption events are governed by hybrid ML-DSA and SLH-DSA verification challenges, while every redemption ultimately settles as a standard Bitcoin transaction that can be independently verified on the Bitcoin blockchain.
The proof is not a diagram. It is a transaction ID.
Why Now
The launch comes at a pivotal moment for the digital asset economy, as three major infrastructure shifts converge:
- Post-quantum migration is underway: NIST finalized its first post-quantum cryptography (PQC) standards in August 2024 and has urged organizations to begin transitioning to quantum-resistant infrastructure. As a result, post-quantum migration is no longer a future consideration but an active priority for governments, financial institutions, and technology organizations.
- Tokenized assets are moving into the mainstream: industry forecasts project tokenized assets could grow into a multi-trillion-dollar market by the end of the decade, bringing increasing amounts of economic value onto digital infrastructure.
- Financial systems are becoming increasingly interconnected: digital assets, stablecoins, payment systems, and tokenized financial instruments increasingly operate across multiple chains and environments, creating growing demand for independent verification before settlement.
As trillions of dollars in digital assets and financial infrastructure increasingly depend on cryptographic systems that were never designed for a quantum future, the transition toward quantum-resistant security is becoming an economic imperative.
QuFi believes verification, rather than settlement, will emerge as one of the foundational infrastructure layers underpinning the digital asset economy.

“Institutions cannot build the future of tokenized finance on cryptography with an expiry date. The QuFi Platform enables organizations to strengthen security, preserve trust, and protect value without requiring drastic changes to existing infrastructure, creating a practical path toward adoption at institutional scale.”

Genesis Node Program
Alongside the QuFi Platform launch, QuFi is opening applications for the QuFi Genesis Node Program.
The initial cohort of independent node operators will support the QuFi Network, helping expand decentralized verification capacity across the ecosystem. Through cryptographically secured validation processes, Genesis node operators will help establish the network’s foundational verification infrastructure across blockchain and financial ecosystems.
Dedicated participation tracks are available for:
● EVM-compatible ecosystems ● Infrastructure providers ● Institutional custodians ● Enterprise partners
Additional integrations across EVM-compatible ecosystems, Layer 1 networks such as Stellar and Solana, and broader financial infrastructure are planned as the network expands.
