Simulating quantum systems presents a persistent challenge as computational demands grow exponentially with qubit number. MPStab, a new simulator, combines the strengths of both stabilizer techniques and tensor networks to tackle a wider range of quantum dynamics than previously possible. This hybrid approach extends the reach of classical computation, clarifying where it excels and defining the opportunities for quantum advantage.
