PRESS RELEASE — Quantum XChange ® , a leader in quantum-safe network security, today announced that CEO Eddy Zervigon will moderate a panel discussion on post-quantum cryptography at the ACT-IAC 2026 Cyber Summit on October 14 in Reston, Virginia. The discussion will focus on the practical challenges of implementing post-quantum cryptography (PQC) across enterprise and government networks.
The panel, titled “ Implementing Enterprise Security for Post-Quantum Cryptography (PQC) ,” comes just days after the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO) released a report highlighting challenges federal agencies face in preparing for the transition to post-quantum cryptography.
The discussion will examine real-world implementation challenges, lessons learned, and best practices for managing encryption lifecycles, achieving crypto-agility, and deploying quantum-safe security across complex enterprise environments. The panel will also address the growing threat of “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later” attacks, in which adversaries collect encrypted data today for potential decryption by future quantum computers.
“Transitioning to post-quantum cryptography is a complex undertaking, particularly across large government networks with critical systems and infrastructure,” said Zervigon. “The GAO report highlights some of these challenges, but we’re also seeing meaningful progress firsthand. Quantum XChange recently helped a federal agency deploy quantum-safe security across its production sites using existing network infrastructure. This panel is an opportunity to bring government and industry leaders together to share practical experiences, lessons learned, and approaches that can help accelerate that transition.”
The federal deployment , announced October 8, used Quantum XChange ’s Phio TX-EM ® solution to add post-quantum protection without requiring major hardware replacement. It also provides the crypto-agility needed to adapt as cryptographic standards and security requirements evolve. The company also recently joined the Cisco Networking App Marketplace as a Cisco Technology Partner and partnered with Carahsoft to expand access to its quantum-safe security solutions through public-sector procurement channels.
The panel will also feature Quantum XChange ’s Eric Hay, Senior Vice President of Field Engineering, alongside invited federal government cybersecurity leaders, including Dr. Edward Mays, Commissioner for IT Infrastructure, Cybersecurity and Quantum at U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and Babur Kohy, Director of the Identity Assurance and Trusted Access Division at the U.S. General Services Administration.
The ACT-IAC 2026 Cyber Summit, themed “Mission Focused Cybersecurity,” brings together government and industry leaders to examine emerging cyber threats, technologies, and approaches to strengthening the security and resilience of government systems.
The panel takes place October 14, 2026, from 10:30 to 11:15 a.m. ET in the West Wing (Main Room) at the Carahsoft Conference & Collaboration Center in Reston, Virginia. For additional information about the summit, visit the official event website .
